Patterson School of Business
We hope everyone had a great summer, and that you are as excited about the new semester as we are! This school year we are starting off with our first Academic Success Bootcamp on August 10-12, 2021. This is a 3-day virtual event with a great line-up of speakers from CU Faculty, Staff, and fellow students. The event is open to all first-year students.
This is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable academic tips, receive program and services-specific information and ask any questions they may have prior to the start of the semester. The program is designed to strengthen the areas of academic limitations through different panels on a variety of topics ranging from academic-specific to communication and time management skills. There is also the opportunity to interact with upper classmates and learn from their unique experiences. Whether you are a first-time college student or transferring from another institution, online or on-campus student, this program will help you adjust to a new lifestyle and achieve your academic goals. Sessions are carefully curated, and include:
- Math and English readiness
- Study skills, such as effective reading, note-taking, and time management
- Student success services including writing center, tutoring and academic advising
- Succeeding in a hybrid learning environment
- Technology resources
- Peer panel
- And much more.
If you want to develop the necessary skills and strategies to thrive in college, this program is for you. Check your emails for more information on the schedule, how to participate in daily prize drawings, and the link to join. See you all at this event next week!
