Friday’s Chapel speaker is Deon Parker. Deon grew up in the state of Michigan. He was a 2004 graduate of Piedmont Baptist College (now Carolina University in Winston-Salem, NC). He has been married to his wife Julie since 2001 and has 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
Deon has spent nearly two decades in vocational Christian ministry, as a Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Prison Chaplain, Rescue Mission Chaplain, Sports Chaplain, and Christian School Teacher. He is currently serving as the Spiritual Life Director (Chaplain) of Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, NC. In May 2023, Deon will begin a new position as the Director of Biblical Unity for the Christian Academy School System (Louisville, KY).
