The Financial Aid Office will host a focus group on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 4pm. We are requesting 10-12 student volunteers that would like to participate in the focus group. No more than half of the volunteers may be main campus students. All students undergrad, grad, and doctoral are requested. Please email Mandy McLain with your name and best contact info (firstname.lastname@example.org). Only 10-12 students will be chosen.
The U.S. Department of Education has recently issued suggestions to colleges to revamp the way financial aid is communicated. Example: They would like to see the words “awards” and “offers” be eliminated. So, let’s start from scratch, and see what we can come up with to Get It Right! Please join Mandy in our “Get It Right” Focus Group on Monday, June 24. Students do not need to be on campus as the group will meet online. A follow up meeting may be scheduled depending on the discussions/resolutions crafted in the June 24th meeting. There are many rules/regulations that govern financial aid, but let’s discuss ALL options available to us to make it right for PIU.
