On Thursday evening, September 19th, Carolina University hosted their first home volleyball match of the season. Before the first serve, Piedmont took a moment to dedicate its newly renovated gymnasium to donor Mr. George A. “Abie” Williams.
Mr. Williams has been a fantastic catalyst for the university over the years, most recently financially helping with the 2019 beautification project and gymnasium remodel.
The newly named Williams Gymnasium saw the addition of air conditioning, new bleachers, chairs, scoring table, and storage building.
With our deepest appreciation for the Williams family’s leadership and generosity, we hope that many follow the example he has set.
