Carolina University is deeply concerned about the adverse financial impacts on families due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, as a socially conscious university, we are offering employees and their family members in the airline, hospitality, food service, tourism, restaurant, travel, the education system (public, private, or higher education), entertainment, medical, recreation, law enforcement, or military sectors a special COVID-19 relief scholarship toward first year tuition.

The COVID-19 support provides 50% off the first-year tuition, which could equal approximately $6,000. In other words, a student could study for a full year for less than $6,000 without counting any other scholarships or grants they may be able to access. This is for any new first-year, full-time online or on-campus student who is enrolling for an undergraduate or graduate degree. This tuition cut is still pairable with federal funding, student loans, grants, and any additional financial assistance the student receives from outside parties. Furthermore, a student may qualify for federal loans to help not only assist with tuition but also living expenses.

The COVID-19 scholarship is available to new students who enroll at CU after the date of this announcement.

  1. Hello,

Good news to hear the waving of 50% tuition. Does it only apply to first year students or even to those who are in 2019-2020?
    Are international students also eligible?

    Blessings

    1. The scholarship applies only to first year students for the 2020-2021 academic year. International students are eligible for the scholarship.
