This week’s Convocation Speaker is Reverend Dr. Preston Davis. Rev. Davis is the minister to High Point University. He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church in the Western North Carolina Conference. Rev. Davis has pastored in many communities in Decatur, Georgia, New York City, and western North Carolina.
Rev. Davis has had writing published in the Charlotte Observer, Religion Dispatches, and Infinite Space to name a few. He was the High Point University Baccalaureate Keynote Speaker in 2016. Rev. Davis is also a recipient of the Francis Asbury award, which is presented annually by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church.
