Friday’s Convocation Speaker is Carolina University’s President, Dr. Charles Petitt. Dr. Petitt’s focus on innovation and collaboration has resulted in a number of mergers that brought seven Christian universities, colleges, and seminaries to form the Carolina University that we all know and love.

Dr. Petitt grew up on a dairy farm in the mountains of southwestern Virginia where he learned the importance and rewards of working hard, loving others and living by faith. His passion is to make sure that “Christ-centered” will always be more than just a slogan at Carolina University.

Today, Dr. Petitt is living his dream of carrying on the ‘Great Commission’ by taking Carolina University Global. We are anticipating another enrollment increase in January thanks to his response to the call of recruitment and the delivery of opportunity for so many students around the world.

Please join us for our last Convocation of the semester, on Friday at 10:45am at Christ Moravian Church (919 West Academy Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).

  • Convocation is required for all Undergraduate Main Campus students (residents & commuters).
  • Any meeting or activity scheduled during Convocation must be approved by the Dean of Students in advance.
  • NO food or drink is permitted during Convocation services.
