Friday’s Chapel speaker is Dwayne Carson. Dwayne has been saved and in the ministry for more than 40 years. He and his wife, Donita, have been married for 35 years. Together they have four children and one grandson, Logan.

After graduating from Liberty University with his degree in Pastoral Ministry, Dwayne went on to work for Liberty, and in 1988 he was hired as one of the two new Campus Pastors. His main responsibility as a Campus Pastor was to oversee the discipleship programs at Liberty University. As Liberty grew, so did the discipleship program, to the point where Dwayne would have over 1,500 student leaders under his guidance.

Dwayne now resides in Winston-Salem, serving as the head of school for Salem Baptist Christian School for the past four years. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at the Church. Presently, Dwayne and his wife have a ministry called “Date the Word” where they seek to help people connect to God’s Word in unique ways.

Ultimately, Dwayne believes that he is a blessed man who still cannot believe that God loved him enough to send His Son to die for him.

Please join us Friday, October 13th at 10:45 a.m.at Salem Baptist Church (429 S. Broad Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
